hello everyone, hope your summer is going well so far. Well, as far as the Greene Drift Riders, we are always thinking about our trails, as far as what we can do to make them better! there is alot of things, but we are limited in so many ways like, landowners request, terrain, and money. This year would be money, so the club is asking all of our members for any lumber they have laying around for a bridge we have to put this year, if anyone has any equipment to do some trail head work so we don't have to rent any this year, anyhthing in that nature would greatly help us out. we do have a tractor w/ a box blade and a busch hog to use at times. If anyone has a stump grinder, we will be needing one of those for our trail widening, and the most important thing would be HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! help goes a long ways , plus we like to see new faces and meeting new people, it is work , but can also be alot of fun with alot of people. So if you interested in helping the club out give us a call. we would love it.

just wanted to let everyone know that this years 3rd annual ckicken b-b-q was a total succes, we cookes a total of 325 halves, and where sold out in 2 hours, you can't ask for anything better. We had alot of good help this year in planning and doing the work to make this a winner. The club profited a total of $510.00 from this event. We would also like to thank all the people that had stopped by and helped support our club, plus we would like to thank Senator Libous for stopping in to see us at our event to show his concern on the snowmobile trail fund sweep of $1 million...... so once again thank you everyone for your support.

3rd annual chicken b-b-q

we will be hosting our 3rd annual chicken b-b-q on SATURDAY APRIL 19TH. @ THE BALL FLATS IN GREENE. The chicken will also be sold @ THE EXTRA-MART ON THE CORNER OF STATE RT 206 AND 12. WATCH FOR THE SIGNS ON ALL ENDS OF TOWN.

CHICKEN WILL SOLD FOR $4.00/HALF STARTING @ 1030AM TILL GONE

WE WILL HAVE OUR CLUB APPEARAL FOR SALE ALSO.

just a reminder, there is a meeting on 3-13-08 @700pm at the chenango valley ranch on bowbell rd just off state rt 206. our main discussion will be our fundraisers for this summer, and projects we need to do on the trails, this is a very important meeting, to keep our club operating, we need more people involved. so please try to atend our meetings usually run about 1-2hrs long. hopefully we will see you there.

The Club Needs Your Help

To all members, the clubs needs your help by contacting your senators and assemblymen by making them aware that the club(s) have not received there 70% from the NYS PARKS AND REC. yet, which was due to all of the clubs in December. So if anyone is in question why the club hasn't been grooming this year, this is why, the club is very broke! So please everyone try to make these phone calls or drop an e-mail. If we don't act soon alot of the clubs will not be able to afford to opperate any longer.

snow report

as of 2-13-08 we have a total of 5-6 inches of snow and ice on the ground and some of the trails.Most of our trail system has very poor conditions, although the seasonal rd trails would be pretty decent to ride on. so at this time trail c2 from the silo restuarant west is in very poor condition. no grooming is planned at this time.

As of Saturday January 6th trail conditions are very poor, trails through the woods on lower elevations have alot of rocks and water showing, (riding not advised).

Trail c7 from outpost going towards whitney point is in desent shape, hard, and icy in the corners. Still take caution to water holes that have frozen over ,with no snow cover.

grooming will not continue this weekend due to up coming warm weather.

Remember if there is any hazards in the trail that can moved, please help us out and move them if they are movable by hand. THANK YOU
